How CapyMail Uses Your Google Data
CapyMail is a Google Sheets add-on that requests access to your Google account only to perform the mail merge actions you start. Here is exactly what each permission is used for:
Google Sheets
CapyMail reads the rows of the spreadsheet you open it in — recipient names, email addresses, and your custom columns — to fill dynamic tags like {{Name}}, and writes merge status (Sent, Opened, Clicked) back into your tracking columns.
Gmail
CapyMail uses your Gmail to send the personalized emails you compose or schedule, and to create and label draft messages so you can save reusable templates. When you run an Export, it reads the messages matching a filter you define (sender, label, or date) to copy them into a spreadsheet — it never continuously scans your mailbox.
Google Drive
When you paste a Drive link or file ID into an attachment column, CapyMail reads that specific file to attach it to the matching recipient. When you choose "Save to Drive," it creates that file in your own Drive. It never modifies, deletes, or browses the rest of your Drive.
Open & Click Tracking
CapyMail adds a tracking pixel and wrapped links to show opens and clicks in your sheet. Only anonymous campaign and row identifiers are sent to power this — never your email content, contacts, spreadsheet data, or Drive files.
Scheduling
When you schedule a campaign, CapyMail creates time-based triggers so your queued emails send at the times you chose, even when you are not present.
Your spreadsheet data, email content, and attachments are never sold or transferred to third parties, and are used only to provide the features you activate.
